ACCOUNTING CLERK // THE POSITION

// JOB DUTIES

  • Receive and process accounts payable invoices
  • Answer vendor questions varying from payment to job status’
  • Check statements for missing invoices or issues
  • Perform accounts payable data entry
  • Reconcile company credit cards
  • Update and maintain vendor database
  • Reconcile vendor statements
  • Process and follow up on rush items
  • Perform special projects as assigned
  • Review Accounts Receivable invoices with careful attention to GL coding
  • Post daily transactions in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.
    • To both Receivable Sub ledger and Cash Management
    • Record and Post banking transactions
    • Post to the General Ledger
  • Record payments in a timely manner, and facilitate bank reconciliations.
  • Review Accounts Payable invoices with careful attention to GL coding
  • Post daily transactions in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.
    • Attach invoices to PO’s
    • Post to the General Ledger
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of Accounts Payable and Receivable accounts.
  • Use In-house software and other tools to assist in completing work timely.
  • Manage the company collections process
  • Work effectively and efficiently with the team.

// QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains or Business Central a plus.
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet.
  • Experience with Divvy a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at all times.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic in a team environment.
  • Prioritize work assignments appropriately in an efficient manner.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism.
